I really want to go and study a year in the University of Reading next year. Erasmus has always been something I wanted to do in my life as a student. I have seen a lot of movies about it and I haven't had a satisfying experience of it until recently. It was back before entering the LLCE Anglais course at Le Mirail: I graduated in computer science at the IUT de Blagnac, and at the end of the second year, in the context of a compulsory training course, I worked at a Welch university (North East Wales Institute of Higher Education in Wrexham) for two months. It has been an outstanding experience, but also very frustrating at the same time. Although I haven't studied there, I have worked developing a web-based application for the students of the Computing Department. I had very few contacts with Welsh students and the only persons working with me were other French students doing almost the same job as I was. Fortunately, outside working hours, I could have fun with some native speakers but not as much as I would have liked.

It was thanks to this short experience that I have decided to stop studying computer science and go for (ou study, mais ça fait une répétition) English. And since then, the only thing I have wanted to do is go back in the UK and live a proper student exchange experience.

Having worked for two years at McDonald's ((to_remove)which could have contributed to my "not so good" grades), I have saved enough money to sustain myself financially for a year. And, as I do not intend to get a job in Reading, I will be only be focusing on my studies once there.

I am really fond of English and of British culture: I watch several British TV series here in France and even subtitle some of them in French to share my passion with my friends and family. Being totally immersed in this world I affectionate so much for an entire year would be a real opportunity to improve both my written and oral skills. And this is what matters the most, isn't it
