Before Marvel kicked off the MCU and changed the superhero genre forever, the early 2000’s were trying to capitalize on the genre as well, given the success of Spider-Man and X-Men. The problem is, they didn’t really know exactly how to do that. 2003’s Daredevil starring Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner and Colin Farrell, is the perfect example of this. The movie is kind of a mess and raises a whole lot of questions. Like how Daredevil’s powers so inconsistent? What’s up with that weird playground fight between Matt Murdock and Elektra Natchios?
