Luca, now convinced that Leonardo is guilty of Nadia's murder, confronts Rosy, who tries to defend his son on the grounds of lack of evidence. Regina advises Rosy to take responsibility for the murder in the place of her son and to set herself up, but Costello has a fake lawyer intervene who, with a technicality, cancels Rosy's arrest just as she is about to make his deposition to the police. Weaving a long and patient plot, Costello eventually leads Rosy to join his family in exchange for Leonardo's promise to stop taking drugs. Antonio confides to Rosy his plan to leave the Holy Alliance to manage his traffic independently and less violently, obtaining the support of women. Actually Rosy tries to find a way to frame the boss and set up a trap to have him arrested but an anonymous phone call makes the blitz fail. Rosy then tries to convince her son to leave with her for Turkey and start a new life in this way, but Leonardo refuses to reproach them for having betrayed Costello, to whom he is now faithful. It turns out that the author of the anonymous phone call that saved Costello is Commissioner Gagliardi, Luca's boss, who also reveals to Rosello the double game of Costello and commits to eliminating both her and Luca.
