When Ena (Nagasawa Masami) notices that Deputy Prime Minister Daimon (Yamaji Kazuhiro) is from Yahi City, she asks newspaper reporter Mayumi (Ikezu Shoko) to investigate Daimon's background. She believes that Daimon, who had tremendous power over the police, may be involved in the case in some way. Meanwhile, Takuro (Maeda Go Atsushi), who has been transferred to the accounting department, also continues to pursue the case. However, the investigation is at a standstill as no new leads are obtained. Depressed, Takuro complains to Murai (Okabe Takashi), when he receives an extraordinary piece of news.
