Andrea is on her way to the police station. On the motorway she is flirting with a golf driver when his car is suddenly rammed! The result is a terrible pile-up. Since she was able to remember the license plate of the fleeing car, an arrest warrant is issued. When Andrea sees the picture of the person who caused the accident, which was taken with the help of the golf driver, she recognizes her "clingy" ex-boyfriend Patrick O'Connor. Tom, Semir and Andrea then pay him a visit. He is supposed to go with them to the station for a confrontation, whereupon he flees. A little later the police find the crashed car in a rest stop parking lot. When Tom wants to look at the trunk, he triggers the detonator of a bomb. He and Semir are just able to get to safety.
