Franklin's and Bear's serious spy business ruins Badger and Beaver's puppet show, but the two make it up to them.; Franklin's parents think he's become so responsible that they think it's time he check out books for himself. But he accidentally leaves his library book out in the rain and tries to fix the problem without his parents knowing what happened. Franklin gives the library one of his books in exchange for ruining one of theirs, but that doesn't stop him from getting an overdue notice when he doesn't return the one he checked out.
