The Lucy Show was a huge hit, Not only in the United States but around the world. Desilu filmed a series of promos to advertise the series in various languages and in various countries. In January, 1963, the cast of The Lucy Show filmed a special promo for the BBC. A few Weeks after The Lucy Show Premiered on CBS in October, 1962, it debuted in the United Kingdom. On January 10, 1963, the night Desilu filmed "Lucy and Viv Become Tycoons," the cast appeared in a 40-second promo film produced especially for the BBC.
