Hayley is relieved to be home but she and Roy are missing Wayne. Steve takes Eileen back on at Street Cars and insists that Karen tells Mike that she does want her old job back. Vera goes to see Jack on his allotment. Just as she arrives Jack's potting shed explodes. Jack explains that he's been brewing poteen and that the bottles have exploded. Vera is furious and insists Jack takes her out for a meal. Martin and Sally kiss which is seen by Todd.
