Curly decides to try his luck and asks Tina out but she rejects him. Tina urges Curly to go the banger racing so that she can watch Mark. Alma lays on a romantic meal, Mike toasts her with champagne and they both feed each other oysters. However, the evening is ruined when Alma gets sick, so Mike decides it may be best to leave and get an early night. Deirdre decides to stick it out instead of resigning. She attends a Planning Committee meeting, but Councillor Rafferty asks that Deirdre leave the meeting, calling her a mole. The committee backs him so Deirdre leaves, under protest.
