Josie lays on food for the funeral, hoping to keep in the background but Don refuses to be ashamed of her. Emily is annoyed to find a huge damp patch in Percy's room. She thinks he should have alerted her to it sooner. Ida Clough arrives for the funeral and reminisces about Ivy with Vera. They think it terrible that Don has taken up with Josie.
