Emily agonises over whether she should give Paddy the letter that his mother wrote shortly before her death. Unable to decide what to do, she shows the letter to Jason. He admits that it sounds like a suicide note, and suggests that Paddy has a right to see it. Emily plucks up the courage to show Paddy the letter.
