After finding a cryptic poem, Chas heads out to the woods where she is bemused to find a box containing a camcorder. Pressing play, Chas watches in astonishment as Carl romantically proposes. Touched, Chas looks round to see Carl standing nearby, bearing a ring and waiting for an answer. Chas is delighted by the wonderful proposal. Elsewhere, Matthew looks for information about Alasdair. He is disappointed when he finds out he is a multi–millionaire and knows he cannot compete. Later, when Tom confronts Matthew, telling him he knows Sadie was at the dinner, Matthew insists the pair are history.
