A guilty Jack tells Daz they don’t have to go through with the adoption. Equally guilty, Billy tells Edna that he's decided not to stop the adoption. When Billy visits later, Jack explains that they’ve decided against the adoption anyway but must make things work for Daz's sake. Elsewhere, annoyed with Louise’s interference Alan resigns from the pageant committee. At the meeting the committee is shocked to hear of Alan's resignation and Betty worries for her friend. Meanwhile, Zak and Lisa put on their best togs and accompany Belle to her first day at school. The head teacher assigns Belle a welcome buddy who explains the protocol for her first day.
