Laura is going to Travis's birthday party, but she isn't sure what to give Travis as a gift. She tells Hamtaro about it and he gets to thinking that it's some sort of competition. He takes the idea to the clubhouse, where the focus becomes giving Pashmina the perfect gift. Howdy and Dexter are both after Pashmina and want to give her a present, so they both turn to Hamtaro for advice, but he doesn't know what to tell them, other than to give her sunflower seeds. Then, when they each find out that Hamtaro gave the other one advice, they feel like he's betrayed them.
