Laura's Dad, Mr. Haruna is going to his old friend Gabriel's mansion and taking Laura and Kana with him. Laura and Kana are bringing Hamtaro and Oxnard and, although the don't know it, the rest of the ham-ham gang is tagging along as well. Mr. Haruna's friend, Gabriel Black, is well known for his scary tricks he likes to play on people. When they arrive at his mansion, they knock at the door, but get no answer. They decide to go in, thinking that he might be out back. When they open the door, they see an apparition of a ghostly skeleton. They're all scared for a bit, but then Laura realizes that something is odd. She flips on a light and finds that Gabriel is controlling the strings of the ""skeleton."" Gabriel welcomes them all and they have a little meet-and-greet session in which Gabriel meets Hamtaro and Oxnard and also shows off some of the books that he's written. (He's a popular author.)
